On site drive erasure and decommissioning

On Site Drive Erasure

MGH Scotland offers on site CESG approved data erasure services. CESG is the Information Security arm of GCHQ, and the National Technical Authority for Information Assurance within the UK. Meaning security risks attached to existing IT systems are protected.

We can come on site and permanently erase data from devices, providing a detailed asset report upon completion. This will provide you with information on the specification of the erased client as well as hard drive details such as the serial number, manufacturer and model.

MGH Scotland hold full public liability insurance and we are fully insured to work on your site. In the unlikely event that a hard drive fails the erasure process, we can securely remove it from your site and destroy it using an approved hard drive shredder.

Site Decommissioning

Increasingly businesses are relying on cloud computing – relying on sharing computer resources as opposed to having local servers or personal devices to handle applications. The word cloud is used as a metaphor for “the internet”, so different services such as servers, storage and applications are delivered to the organisations computers and devices through the internet.

MGH Scotland offers a service for those who have migrated to cloud computing or are perhaps moving location. We can securely decommission your old site, removing all hardware, cabling and any other redundant equipment such as USB’s, tape libraries, servers and racks.

We hold full public liability insurance meaning we are fully insured to work on your site. A detailed asset inventory can be provided upon completion.
